1. WHAT IS A WIND TUNNEL?

2. HOW DOES FLIGHT AND AIRCRAFT WORK?

Hurricane Factory is an adrenaline attraction where a recirculating vertical wind tunnel is located. Four large fans provide a laminar airflow identical to the free fall speed of a real plane jump.

3. HOW CAN I FLY IN A WIND TUNNEL?

The Hurricane Factory or Free Fall Simulator is 4.3 meters wide and 14 meters high. Thus, after acquiring certain skills, you can fly up to 14 m.

4. HOW CAN I AFFECT THE FLIGHT HEIGHT?

Our instructors will show you the basic moves to control your own flight. You will soon learn to control the height of your flight using your body position.

5. WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?

You will need lace-up shoes (best sneakers), comfortable clothing under the coveralls and especially a good mood. It is not recommended to fly in a swimsuit.

6. Does HURRICANE FACTORY ALWAYS HAVE THE EQUIVALENT SPEED?

Air speed depends on the weight of the aviator and the flight position. The operator regulates the wind speed depending on the flyer in the tunnel. The wind speed is lower for lighter flyers and higher for heavier flyers.


7. HOW IS THE AIR SPEED IN THE FREE FALL SIMULATOR?

The average speed in the simulator is about 180 kilometers per hour. Professional pilots train at speeds of up to 270 kilometers per hour.

8. HOW DO I GET INTO THE AIR FLOW?

Flyers enter the air stream through the door at the bottom of the flight chamber so that they simply lie down on the air stream. Our instructor will help you enter. You will feel your feet lift the air stream and fly in the so-called. basic position. Once you get used to the air flow, it is possible to fly in all three dimensions.

9. IS THE AVIANT IN THE FLIGHT CHAMBER ALONE?

Flying in the simulator is suitable for all ages, everyone can experience a free fall on their own skin, without the risk of jumping off the plane. The participant should be in normal condition, without serious health problems. Each participant will receive detailed briefing and ground preparation from our qualified instructors before his flight.

11. DO I NEED ANY SPECIAL EQUIPMENT?

We provide complete equipment commonly used in skydiving. The overalls are made of solid fabric. Helmet and goggles are also included. The flight chamber is air-conditioned so its temperature does not depend on the ambient air temperature. For this reason, no special clothing is required under the flight suit. All clothes that you don’t mind moving will do.

12. IS IT POSSIBLE TO FLY WITH MORE THAN ONE PERSON IN THE SIMULATOR AT EQUAL TIME?

Experienced pilots can use the simulator up to 6 people at a time. Beginners are together with their instructors. Once the pilots are able to control their movements in the air stream, it is possible to fly with multiple participants.

13. Is it possible to interrupt flying?

Any time! Your flight instructor will give the operator a signal to interrupt the flight or reduce the speed, which will allow immediate interruption of the flight.

14. HOW LONG CAN I FLY IN THE SIMULATOR?

Flight in the simulator requires considerable effort, as well as a jump. The whole body works, that is, the muscles get tired. Two minutes of flight have been an unforgettable experience. We recommend 3-6 minutes to get started, which corresponds to 5 to 10 jumps from 4000 meters. Every movement of free fall can be learned. For untrained persons it is not advisable to extend the total flight time to more than 20 minutes per day. Professional flyers often fly more than one hour a day. For professional skydivers, one hour of flight in the free fall simulator corresponds to approximately 100 jumps from a height of 4000 m.

15. HOW LONG SINGLE INPUTS DURING?

The flying time in the Superfly simulator is usually divided into 1.5 minute inputs. Upon request, it is possible to fly several 1.5 minute entries at once. The length of individual inputs is optional, it depends mostly on the physical condition of the aviator and the type of training.

16. CAN I WEAR JEWELERY OR WATCHES WHEN FLYING IN SUPERFLY TUNNEL?

No, it’s not possible. Jewelry can be lost due to the high air velocity and can then injure the flyer or damage the tunnel technology. So, before you start flying, get rid of all unsecured items and make sure you have all your pockets of your clothes, bracelets, watches, earrings and chains removed.

17. IS IT POSSIBLE TO RECEIVE VIDEOS FROM MY FLIGHT?

It is not necessary to have your camera or cameraman. The video system is integrated in Hurricane Factory technology. Each entry is recorded and stored in the system for a maximum of 7 days. This system can be used to make DVDs or videos on a USB stick, which you can purchase directly from the reception.

18. Can I breathe freely in such a strong air stream?

In general, people do not have difficulty breathing in a strong air stream. However, there are exceptions. In the event that the air flow will cause difficulty in breathing, this problem can be solved by an integral helmet.

19. CAN I TAKE A CAMERA OR A CAMERA WITHIN THE SIMULATOR?

Relax, but not into the flight chamber. You can take pictures of your escort through the glass of the flight chamber.

20. WHAT HAPPEN WHEN A SHOE, WATCH, RING, OR CAR KEY …

This may damage or completely destroy flying objects. The simulator equipment is very expensive, so please do not carry any foreign objects in the flight chamber except the overalls, helmet and goggles.

22. DO I GET NEW EXPERIENCE IN FREE SIMULATOR?

Hurricane Factory creates the same conditions as in a free fall. The positions and movements of the body are exactly the same as in a free fall. As a special preparation for AFF it is possible to train stable body positions, start and stop rotation, altimeter reading and stable position when opening the parachute. This helps reduce stress during a real free fall in AFF training. Less stress means more capacity for other tasks and increases the joy of jumping for you and your instructor.

23. IS THE SIMULATOR FAST QUICKLY?

The speed in the simulator reaches up to 270 km / h, which is sufficient speed for flight in all positions FREEFLY and FREESTYLE.

24. CAN I FLY WITH OWN COMBINESIS AND HELMET?

Yes, every athlete uses their own equipment. You cannot fly with your own camcorder or camera

25. WHAT HAPPEN WHEN I UNLOCK CONTROL?

Even sports pilots are never alone in the simulator. Experienced instructors are always present in the flight chamber and are trained specifically for such situations and can quickly help you.

26. Is one hour enough to handle a seated flight?

It depends on your previous experience and fitness. After you are able to fly independently in a controlled, stable position on your stomach, you will begin to learn to fly on your back and then the transitions between these two positions. Only after you have mastered this can you start learning to fly sitting. You will quickly realize that you must have an experienced instructor.

27. Do I need to wear helmets and gloves?

For safety reasons, you must wear a helmet in the tunnel. Gloves are not necessary, but we recommend them to avoid rubbing the skin. You can scuff the walls of the flight chamber.

28. CAN I USE DARK GLASSES? IS THE LIGHT IN THE SIMULATOR LIGHT CLIMATE OR DO I HAVE PLEASE GLASSES?

Aviators should wear clear glasses during both the basic course and the refinement courses. Communication between the instructor and the course participant is through eye contact. The instructor knows the pupil’s mood better and can respond better to it.

29. WILL HELP MEEN STRENGTHENING HANDS, SHOULDER, FOOTS AND BACK FOR MY FLYING IN THE SIMULATOR?
